Method

Sandwich Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Sandwich

Start by preheating a skillet or grill over medium heat.

  2. 2

    Add Corned Beef

Layer the corned beef brisket evenly on one half of each rye hoagie roll.

  3. 3

    Add Sauerkraut

Top the corned beef with the sauerkraut, spreading it evenly.

  4. 4

    Add Swiss Cheese

Place the Swiss cheese on top of the sauerkraut, covering it completely.

  5. 5

    Add Thousand Island Dressing

Spread the Thousand Island dressing on the other half of the rye hoagie rolls.

  6. 6

    Grill the Sandwich

Close the hoagie rolls and place them on the preheated skillet. Grill for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.

  7. 7

    Slice and Serve

Remove the sandwich from the skillet, slice in half, and serve warm.

Fries Preparation

  1. 8

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 180°C (350°F).

  2. 9

    Fry the Fries

Carefully add the crinkle cut fries to the hot oil in small batches. Fry for about 4-5 minutes or until they are golden and crispy.

  3. 10

    Drain and Season

Remove the fries from the oil and drain on paper towels. Season with salt to taste while still hot.

  4. 11

    Serve

Serve the crinkle cut fries alongside the grilled Reuben sandwich.
