Method

Preparing the Chili

  1. 1

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion, minced garlic, and diced bell pepper. Sauté until the vegetables are soft, about 5-7 minutes.

  2. 2

    Add the Brisket

Add the smoked beef brisket to the pot, stirring to combine. Cook for another 3-4 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

  3. 3

    Combine the Ingredients

Stir in the canned diced tomatoes, kidney beans, black beans, and beef broth. Mix well.

  4. 4

    Season the Chili

Add the chili powder, ground cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper to the pot. Stir to combine.

  5. 5

    Simmer the Chili

Bring the chili to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover and let it simmer for at least 30 minutes to enhance the flavors, stirring occasionally.

Serving the Chili

  1. 6

    Prepare the Bowl

Once the chili is ready, ladle 6 ounces of the chili into a bowl.

  2. 7

    Add Toppings

Top the chili with shredded cheddar cheese and diced red onion.

  3. 8

    Serve

Offer sour cream on the side, allowing guests to add it to their taste.
