Method

Prepare the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Form the Patty

In a bowl, mix the ground beef, salt, and black pepper until well combined. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and form each into a 1/2 lb patty.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patty

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook each patty for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.

Sauté the Mushrooms

  1. 3

    Sauté the Mushrooms

In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until they are browned and tender, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 4

    Add Cheese

During the last minute of cooking the burger patty, place the Swiss cheese slices on top of the patty to melt.

  2. 5

    Toast the Buns

While the cheese melts, lightly toast the potato buns on the grill or in a toaster.

  3. 6

    Build the Burger

On the bottom half of the toasted bun, layer the lettuce, the cooked patty with melted cheese, sautéed mushrooms, tomato slices, onion slices, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.

Prepare the Fries

  1. 7

    Cook the Fries

Prepare the crinkle cut fries according to package instructions, either baking or frying until crispy.
