Method

Sandwich Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Bread

Take the thick-cut wide-pan bread slices and lay them out on a clean surface.

  2. 2

    Add Butter

Spread 1 tablespoon of butter on one side of each slice of bread evenly.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Cheese

On the unbuttered side of one slice of bread, layer your choice of cheese slices (Cheddar, Swiss, Pepper Jack, American, or Dubliner). You can mix different cheeses as desired.

  4. 4

    Top with Second Slice

Place the second slice of bread on top, buttered side facing out.

  5. 5

    Grill the Sandwich

Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Once hot, carefully place the sandwich in the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese starts to melt.

  6. 6

    Flip and Cook

Gently flip the sandwich using a spatula, and cook the other side for another 3-4 minutes until golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.

  7. 7

    Remove and Slice

Once cooked, remove the sandwich from the skillet and let it cool for a minute. Slice the sandwich in half and serve warm.

Fries Directions

  1. 8

    Prepare the Oil

If baking, preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). If frying, heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy pot to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 9

    Cook the Fries

For baking, spread crinkle cut fries on a baking sheet in a single layer, drizzle with 2 tablespoons of oil, and sprinkle with salt. Bake for about 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden.

  3. 10

    Frying the Fries

If frying, carefully add the fries to the hot oil in batches. Fry for about 3-4 minutes or until golden and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels, then sprinkle with salt.

  4. 11

    Serve

Serve the fries hot alongside the grilled cheese sandwich.
