Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef Patty

In a mixing bowl, take 0.5 lb of ground beef and form it into a patty. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Make sure the patty is slightly larger than the bun as it will shrink while cooking.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patty

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the beef patty for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until it reaches your desired doneness (internal temperature should be 160°F for medium).

  3. 3

    Add Chili and Cheese

Once the patty is cooked, place it on the Wheat Montana potato bun. Top with 1 cup of chili and 0.5 cup of shredded Cheddar cheese. Allow the cheese to melt slightly, about 1-2 minutes.

  4. 4

    Garnish

Sprinkle 0.25 cup of diced red onion on top of the melted cheese.

Fries Preparation

  1. 5

    Fry the Fries

In a deep fryer or a large pot, heat 2 cups of vegetable oil to 350°F. Carefully add 2 cups of frozen crinkle cut fries to the hot oil in batches. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes.

  2. 6

    Drain and Season

Remove the fries from the oil and drain on paper towels. Season with salt to taste while still hot.
