Chicken Tenders

Method

Chicken Tenders

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Cut the chicken breasts into strips about 1 inch wide.

  2. 2

    Set Up Breading Station

In three separate bowls, place the flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs mixed with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and optional Cajun or hot sauce seasoning.

  3. 3

    Bread the Chicken

Dip each chicken strip first in the flour, then in the egg, and finally in the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring it is well coated.

  4. 4

    Heat Oil

In a deep skillet or fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  5. 5

    Fry the Chicken

Carefully add the breaded chicken strips to the hot oil in batches, frying for about 4-5 minutes or until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Fries

  1. 6

    Heat Oil for Fries

In a separate deep fryer or large pot, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 7

    Fry the Fries

Add the crinkle cut fries in batches, frying them for about 4-6 minutes or until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels and sprinkle with salt while hot.

Coleslaw

  1. 8

    Mix Coleslaw Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, grated carrots, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper. Toss well to combine.

  2. 9

    Chill Coleslaw

Cover the coleslaw and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to let the flavors meld.
