Method
Preparation of Chicken Tenders
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Cut the chicken breast fillets into strips, about 1-inch wide, to form the chicken tenders.
- 2
Set Up Breading Station
In three separate bowls, place the flour, whisked eggs, and breadcrumbs. Season the flour with salt and black pepper. If you prefer a spicy flavor, add Cajun seasoning or Frank's Red Hot seasoning to the flour.
- 3
Bread the Chicken
Dip each chicken strip first in the flour, making sure to coat it evenly. Shake off excess flour, then dip it in the beaten eggs. Finally, coat the chicken in the breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
Cooking the Chicken Tenders
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet, heat about 1/2 inch of vegetable oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 5
Fry the Chicken Tenders
Once the oil is hot, carefully add the breaded chicken tenders in batches. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C).
