Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Wings
Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
- 2
Make the Dry Rub
In a medium bowl, mix together paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, brown sugar, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
Cooking
- 3
Season the Wings
Place the wings in a large bowl and sprinkle the dry rub mixture over them. Toss the wings until they are evenly coated.
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a large, heavy-bottomed pot or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil to 375°F (190°C).
- 5
Fry the Wings
Carefully add the wings to the hot oil in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry for 8-10 minutes until they are golden brown and crispy.
- 6
Drain and Serve
Remove the wings from the oil and drain them on paper towels. Serve hot with your choice of dipping sauce.
