Baking Directions
- 1
Prepare the crust
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, 0.5 cups of granulated sugar, and melted butter. Mix until well combined.
- 2
Form the crust
Press the crumb mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Ensure it is evenly distributed and compacted. Bake for 8-10 minutes, then remove from the oven and set aside to cool.
- 3
Prepare the filling
In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add 1 cup of granulated sugar and continue to beat until fully combined.
- 4
Add remaining ingredients
Add sour cream, vanilla extract, and eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Finally, add the all-purpose flour and mix until just combined.
- 5
Bake the cheesecake
Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cooled crust. Bake in the preheated oven for 55-60 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly.
- 6
Cool and chill
Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside for 1 hour. Remove from the oven and let it cool to room temperature. Once cooled, refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
- 7
Serve
Once chilled, remove the cheesecake from the springform pan, slice, and serve. Enjoy your New York Style Cheesecake!
