Prepare the Ingredients
Gather and prepare all the ingredients by chopping vegetables and slicing the sausage.

Add the Chicken
Add the chicken thighs to the pot and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.

Add Tomatoes and Broth
Stir in the canned diced tomatoes, chicken broth, okra, bay leaves, Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a boil.

In the last 5 minutes of cooking, add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink and are cooked through.
