Calamari Preparation

Prepare the Calamari
In a large bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Mix well.

Coat the Calamari
Dip each piece of calamari in the beaten eggs, then dredge in the flour mixture until well coated. Shake off excess flour.
Frying

Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan or pot, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 180°C (350°F).

Fry the Calamari
Carefully add the coated calamari to the hot oil in batches, avoiding overcrowding. Fry for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
Garlic Aioli Preparation

Make the Aioli
In a medium bowl, mix together mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, and salt. Stir until well combined.

Garnish
Transfer the aioli to a serving bowl and garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
Serving

Serve the Calamari
Plate the fried calamari and serve hot with the garlic aioli on the side for dipping.
