Method

Brownie Directions

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.

  2. 2

    Melt the Butter

In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

  3. 3

    Mix Sugars

Stir in the granulated sugar and brown sugar into the melted butter until well combined.

  4. 4

    Add Eggs and Vanilla

Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then stir in the vanilla extract.

  5. 5

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt.

  6. 6

    Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.

  7. 7

    Add Chocolate Chips

Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.

  8. 8

    Bake the Brownies

Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

  9. 9

    Cool the Brownies

Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Serving Directions

  1. 10

    Serve the Brownies

Cut the cooled brownies into squares and serve them warm or at room temperature.

  2. 11

    Add Ice Cream

Top each brownie square with a scoop of vanilla ice cream before serving.
