Preparation of Espresso

Brew the Espresso
Brew 1 cup of strong espresso coffee and allow it to cool to room temperature.
Mixing the Filling

Combine Mascarpone Mixture
In a mixing bowl, combine 500 grams of mascarpone cheese, 1 tablespoon of Kahlua, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.
Assembling the Tiramisu

Dip the Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled espresso, making sure they are soaked but not soggy.

Layer the Ingredients
In an 8x8 inch dish, create a layer of dipped ladyfingers, followed by a layer of the mascarpone mixture. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with the mascarpone layer on top.

Prepare the Chocolate
Melt 50 grams of dark chocolate in a microwave or over a double boiler until smooth.

Decorate the Tiramisu
Drizzle the melted dark chocolate over the top of the tiramisu. You can also use a sifter to dust cocoa powder on top if desired.

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
