Hanger Steak

Mashed Potatoes

Spinach with Cherry Wine Sauce

Method

Hanger Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Remove the hanger steak from the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature for about 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Pat the steak dry with paper towels. Rub both sides with olive oil, salt, black pepper, minced garlic, and fresh rosemary.

  3. 3

    Cook the Steak

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Adjust the time for desired doneness. Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Mashed Potatoes Preparation

  1. 4

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel and chop the potatoes into even chunks. Place them in a large pot and cover with cold water.

  2. 5

    Cook the Potatoes

Bring the water to a boil and cook the potatoes for about 15-20 minutes or until fork-tender. Drain the potatoes.

  3. 6

    Mash the Potatoes

Add butter, milk, salt, and black pepper to the drained potatoes. Mash until smooth and creamy.

Spinach with Cherry Wine Sauce Preparation

  1. 7

    Sauté the Garlic

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.

  2. 8

    Cook the Spinach

Add the spinach to the skillet and cook until wilted, stirring frequently, about 2-3 minutes.

  3. 9

    Add Cherry Wine

Pour in the cherry wine, add salt and black pepper, and simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce has reduced slightly.
