Fruit Selection
Fig Balsamic Drizzle
Method
Preparing the Fruit Skewers
- 1
Prepare the Fruit
Wash all the fruits thoroughly under cold water. Hull the strawberries, peel and slice the kiwi, and peel and slice the banana. Cut the pineapple into bite-sized chunks if not already done.
- 2
Assemble the Skewers
Take a skewer and thread one piece of each type of fruit onto it, alternating colors and textures for visual appeal. Repeat until all fruit is used up and skewers are filled.
Making the Fig Balsamic Drizzle
- 3
Combine Ingredients
In a small saucepan, combine the balsamic vinegar, chopped dried figs, honey, and water. Stir well to combine.
- 4
Cook the Drizzle
Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a simmer. Reduce the heat to low and let it cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the figs are softened and the mixture has thickened slightly.
- 5
Cool the Drizzle
Remove the saucepan from heat and allow the drizzle to cool for a few minutes. It will thicken more as it cools.
Serving
- 6
