Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Strawberries

Wash the fresh strawberries under cold water. Remove the green tops and slice them into halves or quarters, depending on their size. Place the sliced strawberries in a small bowl.

  2. 2

    Sweeten the Strawberries

Sprinkle the sugar over the sliced strawberries. Stir gently to coat the strawberries evenly with sugar. Allow them to sit for about 10-15 minutes to macerate, releasing their juices.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Mint

Wash the mint leaves and pat them dry. Gently tear or chop the mint leaves to release their aromatic oils. Set aside.

Serve

  1. 4

    Chill the Champagne

Make sure your bottle of champagne is well-chilled before serving. You can either place it in a bucket of ice for about 20 minutes or in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.

  2. 5

    Assemble the Toast

In champagne flutes, add a spoonful of the macerated strawberries to the bottom of each glass. Top with chilled champagne, allowing the bubbles to rise and incorporate the strawberry juices.

  3. 6

    Garnish

Add a few mint leaves on top of each glass for garnish and a fresh aroma. Optionally, you can add a whole strawberry on the rim of the glass.

  4. 7

    Toast

Raise your glasses and toast with your guests. Enjoy the refreshing and celebratory drink!
