Caprese Crostini Ingredients
Method
Caprese Crostini Directions
- 1
Prepare the Baguette
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the baguette into 1/2 inch thick slices.
- 2
Toast the Bread
Place the sliced baguette on a baking sheet. Brush both sides lightly with olive oil. Toast in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
- 3
Prepare the Heirloom Tomatoes
While the bread is toasting, wash the heirloom tomatoes and chop them into small, bite-sized pieces. Place them in a mixing bowl.
- 4
Season the Tomatoes
Add salt and freshly ground black pepper to the chopped heirloom tomatoes to taste. Gently toss to combine.
- 5
Assemble the Crostini
Once the baguette slices are toasted, remove them from the oven. Take a piece of burrata cheese and place it on each toasted slice.
- 6
Add the Tomatoes
Top the burrata with a spoonful of the seasoned heirloom tomatoes.
- 7
Drizzle with Balsamic Glaze
Drizzle balsamic glaze over each crostini generously.
- 8
Garnish with Basil
Finish by adding fresh basil leaves on top of each crostini. Serve immediately.
