Start by brewing a shot of fresh espresso and allow it to cool slightly.

In a cocktail shaker, combine vodka, Amaro Averna, freshly brewed espresso, Angostura bitters, and simple syrup.

Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.
