Directions
1. Prepare the Chocolate Base
In a medium saucepan, combine water and granulated sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
2. Add Cocoa and Chocolate
Whisk in unsweetened cocoa powder until well combined. Add the chopped dark chocolate and continue to whisk until melted and smooth.
3. Flavor the Mixture
Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature.
4. Chill and Freeze
Once cooled, transfer the mixture to an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions. Once churned, transfer to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours.
