Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Barrel

If you are using a small wooden barrel, fill it with warm water and let it soak for a few hours to expand the wood. Discard the water and pat the barrel dry.

  2. 2

    Combine Ingredients

In a mixing glass, combine the gin, Carpano Antica vermouth, and Campari. Stir well to mix.

  3. 3

    Aging Process

Pour the mixture into the prepared barrel and add the oak chips. Seal the barrel and store it in a cool, dark place for at least 2 weeks to allow the flavors to meld and age.

  4. 4

    Serving

After the aging process, strain the mixture into an old-fashioned glass filled with ice. Garnish with a twist of orange peel and serve.
