Kitfo Dulet Ingredients
Method
Preparation Directions
- 1
Prepare the Beef
Using a sharp knife, finely mince the extra lean beef until it reaches a tartare-like consistency. Place the minced beef in a bowl.
- 2
Season the Beef
Add the mitmita spice mix, salt, and berbere spice mix (to taste) to the minced beef. Mix thoroughly to ensure the spices are evenly distributed.
- 3
Melt the Spiced Butter
In a small saucepan, gently melt the Ethiopian spiced butter (kibe) over low heat. Do not let it boil.
- 4
Combine Ingredients
Once the butter is melted, pour it over the seasoned minced beef. Add the freshly chopped parsley and green onions. Mix well to combine all ingredients.
- 5
Serve
Serve the Kitfo Dulet immediately with a piece of injera on the side. Optionally, you can serve it with additional spices or sauces.
