Shrimp Preparation

    Boil the Shrimp

    In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Squeeze the juice of the whole lemon into the boiling water and then add the lemon halves to the pot.

    Cook the Shrimp

    Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the boiling water. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.

    Ice Bath

    Immediately transfer the cooked shrimp to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Let them chill for about 5 minutes.

    Drain and Dry

    Drain the shrimp and pat them dry with a paper towel. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Cocktail Sauce Preparation

    Mix Ingredients

    In a medium bowl, combine 1 cup of ketchup, 2 tablespoons of horseradish, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce, and 1 teaspoon of hot sauce.

    Adjust Seasoning

    Mix well and add salt to taste. Adjust the amount of horseradish and hot sauce based on your spice preference.

    Chill Sauce

    Cover the cocktail sauce and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes to let the flavors meld.
