Pork Chops

Apple Chutney

Sweet Potato Mash

Method

Pork Chops

1

Prepare the Pork Chops

Season the pork chops with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.

2

Cook the Pork Chops

In a skillet over medium-high heat, add the seasoned pork chops and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through, or until they reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). Remove from heat and let rest.

Apple Chutney

3

Prepare the Ingredients

Peel, core, and dice the apples and onion.

4

Cook the Chutney

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the diced apples, onion, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, cinnamon, and salt. Cook for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally until the apples are soft and the mixture thickens. Set aside.

Sweet Potato Mash

5

Prepare the Sweet Potatoes

Peel and cut the sweet potatoes into chunks.

6

Cook the Sweet Potatoes

In a large pot, boil the sweet potato chunks in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and return to the pot.

7

Mash the Sweet Potatoes

Add butter, milk, salt, and black pepper to the cooked sweet potatoes. Mash until smooth and creamy.
