Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Pat the ribeye steak dry with a paper towel. Rub the steak with olive oil and season generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and chopped fresh rosemary on both sides.

  2. 2

    Grill the Steak

Preheat your grill to high heat. Once hot, place the seasoned ribeye steak on the grill. Grill for about 4-5 minutes on one side for medium-rare, then flip and grill for another 3-4 minutes. Adjust the time for your desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.

Mashed Potatoes Preparation

  1. 4

    Cook the Potatoes

Peel and chop the potatoes into even chunks. Place them in a pot of salted water and bring to a boil. Cook for about 15-20 minutes or until tender when pierced with a fork.

  2. 5

    Mash the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add butter, milk, salt, and black pepper. Mash with a potato masher or fork until smooth and creamy. Adjust milk for desired consistency.

  3. 6

    Serve

Spoon the mashed potatoes onto a plate and serve alongside the grilled ribeye steak.
