Chicken Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.
- 2
Bread the Chicken
Set up a breading station: in one bowl, place the flour; in a second bowl, beat the eggs; and in a third bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip in the beaten eggs, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
- 3
Brown the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the breaded chicken breasts and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown. Transfer the browned chicken to a baking dish.

Combine Chicken and Sauce
Pour the marinara sauce evenly over the browned chicken in the baking dish.
Topping

Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the marinara sauce-covered chicken.
- 7
Bake the Dish
Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Garnish and Serve
Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh basil leaves, and serve hot with pasta or a side salad.
