Pasta

Alfredo Sauce

Method

Prepare the Pasta

  1. 1

    Cook the Fettuccine

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Cook the Chicken

  1. 2

    Season the Chicken

Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper.

  2. 3

    Sauté the Chicken

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked through and golden brown. Remove from heat, let rest for a few minutes, then slice into strips.

Make the Alfredo Sauce

  1. 4

    Melt the Butter

In the same skillet used for the chicken, melt the butter over medium heat.

  2. 5

    Add Garlic

Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

  3. 6

    Combine Cream and Cheese

Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until smooth and creamy.

  4. 7

    Season the Sauce

Add nutmeg, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine.

Combine and Serve

  1. 8

    Mix Pasta and Sauce

Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce. Toss to coat the pasta evenly.

  2. 9

    Plate the Dish

Serve the pasta on plates, topped with sliced chicken and a sprinkle of chopped parsley for garnish.
