Method

Brisket Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Rub

In a small bowl, mix together smoked paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Season the Brisket

Rub the spice mixture all over the beef brisket, ensuring it's well-coated.

  3. 3

    Cook the Brisket

Place the brisket in a slow cooker. Add beef broth and liquid smoke. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours, until the brisket is tender.

  4. 4

    Shred the Brisket

Once cooked, remove the brisket from the slow cooker and let it rest for 10 minutes. Shred the meat using two forks.

Taco Assembly

  1. 5

    Prepare the Toppings

Finely chop the fresh cilantro and red onion. Slice the avocados and lime into wedges.

  2. 6

    Warm the Tortillas

In a dry skillet over medium heat, warm the corn tortillas for about 30 seconds on each side until pliable.

  3. 7

    Assemble the Tacos

Place a generous amount of shredded brisket on each tortilla. Top with cilantro, red onion, and avocado slices. Squeeze lime juice over the top.
