Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Steak (Optional)

If you choose to marinate the steak, mix together soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, honey, and lemon juice in a bowl. Place the steak in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish, pour the marinade over the steak, and ensure it's well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or overnight for best results.

  2. 2

    Seasoning the Steak

Remove the steak from the marinade (if used) and pat it dry with paper towels. Rub both sides of each steak with olive oil, then season generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and rosemary.

Grilling

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat (about 450°F to 500°F or 232°C to 260°C). If using a charcoal grill, ensure the coals are hot and have a layer of ash.

  2. 4

    Grill the Steak

Place the seasoned steaks on the grill. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes on one side without moving, then flip the steak and cook for another 3 to 5 minutes for medium-rare. Adjust cooking time based on your preferred doneness.

  3. 5

    Rest the Steak

Once cooked to your liking, remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute for a more tender steak.
