Method
Hummus Preparation
- 1
Rinse the Chickpeas
If using canned chickpeas, rinse and drain them thoroughly under cold water. If using cooked chickpeas, ensure they are cooled.
- 2
Blend Ingredients
In a food processor, combine the rinsed chickpeas, tahini, minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, ground cumin, salt, and water.
- 3
Process Until Smooth
Blend the mixture until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed. If the hummus is too thick, add more water, one tablespoon at a time, until the desired consistency is reached.
- 4
Taste and Adjust
Taste the hummus and adjust seasoning if necessary, adding more salt or lemon juice to taste.
- 5
Serve and Garnish
Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle paprika on top for garnish.
Vegetable Preparation
- 6
Prepare Carrots
Peel the carrots and cut them into sticks or rounds, depending on your preference.
- 7
Slice the Cucumber
Wash the cucumber and slice it into rounds or sticks.
- 8
Prepare Bell Pepper
Wash the bell pepper, remove the seeds, and cut it into strips.
- 9
Cut Celery
Wash the celery stalks and cut them into sticks.
- 10
Prepare Radishes
Wash the radishes and slice them into halves or quarters.
