Clean the Trout
Rinse the freshly caught trout under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.

Prepare the Marinade
In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, juice from half of the lemon, chopped fresh dill, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.

Marinate the Trout
Rub the marinade all over the trout, including the inside cavity. Allow the trout to marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.

Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375-400°F or 190-200°C).

Plate the Trout
Remove the grilled trout from the grill and place on a serving platter.

Garnish and Serve
Garnish with lemon wedges and extra fresh dill if desired. Serve immediately.
