Method

Crust Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 2

    Mix Crust Ingredients

In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated.

  3. 3

    Form Crust

Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form an even layer.

  4. 4

    Prebake Crust

Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes until lightly golden. Remove from oven and set aside to cool.

Filling Preparation

  1. 5

    Beat Cream Cheese

In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer on medium speed until creamy and smooth, about 3-4 minutes.

  2. 6

    Add Sugar and Sour Cream

Gradually add the granulated sugar and continue mixing until well combined. Then, add the sour cream and vanilla extract, mixing until just incorporated.

  3. 7

    Incorporate Eggs

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition until just blended. Avoid overmixing.

  4. 8

    Add Flour

Finally, stir in the all-purpose flour until fully combined.

  5. 9

    Pour Filling into Crust

Pour the cheesecake filling into the cooled crust, smoothing the top with a spatula.

  6. 10

    Bake Cheesecake

Bake the cheesecake in the oven for 55-65 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly.

  7. 11

    Cool and Chill

Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool inside for 1 hour. Then, remove from the oven, cover, and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
