Curly Fries Ingredients

Method

Curly Fries Preparation

1

Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Using a spiral cutter, cut the potatoes into curly shapes. Soak the curly fries in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

2

Make the Batter

In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Gradually add water to the dry ingredients and whisk until smooth.

3

Heat the Oil

In a deep pot or fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Ensure there is enough oil to submerge the fries.

4

Coat and Fry the Curly Fries

Drain the soaked curly fries and pat them dry with paper towels. Dip each curly fry into the batter, allowing excess batter to drip off. Carefully place them in the hot oil and fry in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per batch.

5

Drain and Serve

Remove the fried curly fries from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
