Waffle Ingredients
Method
Waffle Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Batter
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. In another bowl, beat the eggs and then stir in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
- 2
Preheat the Waffle Iron
Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- 3
Cook the Waffles
Pour an appropriate amount of batter onto the preheated waffle iron (usually about 1/2 to 3/4 cup, depending on the size of your waffle iron). Close the lid and cook until the waffles are golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
- 4
Serve
Remove the waffles from the iron and keep warm. Serve with warm berry chutney, diplomat cream, and a dusting of powdered sugar.
