Duck and Noodles

Method

Preparation and Cooking

  1. 1

    Roasting the Duck

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Rub the duck breasts with five-spice powder, salt, and pepper. Place skin-side up on a roasting pan and roast in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until the skin is crispy and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Let the duck rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

  2. 2

    Cooking the Noodles and Broccoli

While the duck is roasting, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the wheat noodles and cook according to package instructions. In the last 3 minutes of cooking, add the broccoli florets. Drain and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process.

  3. 3

    Stir-frying the Ingredients

In a large skillet or wok, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and ginger, stirring for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add the cooked noodles and broccoli, and toss to combine. Pour in the soy sauce and mix well. Add the sliced scallions and stir-fry for another minute.

  4. 4

    Serving

Slice the roasted duck and serve it on top of the stir-fried noodles and broccoli. Garnish with additional scallions if desired.
