Marinade Preparation
- 1
Mix the Marinade
In a medium bowl, combine the soy sauce, olive oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, black pepper, brown sugar, and lime juice. Whisk until the brown sugar is dissolved and the marinade is well mixed.
- 2
Marinate the Sirloin
Place the sirloin steak in a large resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steak, ensuring it is well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight for maximum flavor.

Cook the Sirloin
Remove the sirloin from the marinade and let it come to room temperature for about 15 minutes. Cook the sirloin for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).

Rest and Slice
Once cooked, remove the sirloin from the heat and let it rest for 5-10 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute. After resting, slice the sirloin thinly against the grain for optimal tenderness.
