Method

BBQ Meat

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribs

Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C). Season the baby back ribs with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika on both sides.

  2. 2

    Smoke the Ribs

Place the seasoned ribs in the smoker and smoke for 4-5 hours, or until the meat is tender and pulls away from the bone. Brush with BBQ sauce during the last 30 minutes of smoking.

  3. 3

    Shred the Ribs

Once cooked, remove the ribs from the smoker and let them rest for 10 minutes. Shred the meat off the bones and mix with additional BBQ sauce.

Mac n Cheese

  1. 4

    Cook the Macaroni

In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 5

    Make the Cheese Sauce

In the same pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes. Gradually whisk in the milk until smooth. Cook until thickened, then add the cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper. Stir until the cheese is melted.

  3. 6

    Combine

Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and mix well until all pasta is coated.

Baked Beans

  1. 7

    Prepare the Beans

In a saucepan, combine the canned baked beans, brown sugar, BBQ sauce, and chopped onion. Stir to mix well.

  2. 8

    Heat the Beans

Cook over medium heat until warmed through and the onions are tender, about 10 minutes.

Assembly

  1. 9

    Assemble the Sundae

In a serving bowl, layer mac n cheese on the bottom, followed by baked beans, and then the shredded BBQ ribs on top.

  2. 10

    Add Toppings

Top the BBQ sundae with crispy onion strings and drizzle with additional BBQ sauce.
