Burger Patties

Burger Assembly

Method

Prepare Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Mix the Patty Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into four equal portions and form each portion into a patty about 3/4 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.

Cook the Burger Patties

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes until they reach your desired doneness. Add a slice of American cheese on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.

Assemble the Burgers

  1. 5

    Prepare the Buns

Toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 6

    Build the Burgers

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked patty with melted cheese, tomato slices, pickles, ketchup, and mustard. Top with the other half of the bun.

Prepare French Fries

  1. 7

    Cut the Potatoes

Wash and peel the potatoes, then cut them into thin strips (about 1/4 inch thick).

  2. 8

    Soak the Fries

Soak the potato strips in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  3. 9

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  4. 10

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the soaked potato strips to the hot oil in batches. Fry for about 5-6 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Season with salt immediately.
