Tikka Masala Ingredients

Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Marinate the Chicken

In a bowl, mix Greek yogurt, lemon juice, minced garlic, grated ginger, garam masala, ground cumin, ground coriander, turmeric powder, chili powder, and salt. Add the chicken thighs, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and marinate in the fridge for at least 1 hour (or overnight for best results).

  2. 2

    Grill the Chicken

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade and grill for 5-7 minutes on each side until cooked through and slightly charred. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Sauce

In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent. Stir in the crushed tomatoes and simmer for 5 minutes.

  4. 4

    Combine Chicken and Sauce

Add the grilled chicken to the skillet, pour in the coconut milk, and stir well. Let it simmer for another 10 minutes to combine flavors.

  5. 5

    Serve

Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot with rice or naan.
