Boil Water
In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.

Steep Tea
Once boiling, remove from heat and add 4 black tea bags. Allow to steep for about 5 minutes.

Add Sugar
Remove the tea bags and stir in 1 cup of sugar until fully dissolved.

Chill
Pour the sweet tea into a pitcher and add 3 cups of ice. Stir until the ice melts and the tea is chilled.

Serve
Serve over ice in glasses, garnished with lemon slices if desired.
