Method

Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Dough

In a bowl, dissolve the active dry yeast in warm water and let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.

  2. 2

    Mix Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and sea salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and olive oil.

  3. 3

    Knead the Dough

Mix the ingredients until combined, then knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  4. 4

    Let It Rise

Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover it with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

  5. 5

    Shape the Flatbread

Once risen, punch down the dough and divide it into 4 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a flat round shape, about 1/4 inch thick.

  6. 6

    Add Toppings

Brush each flatbread with olive oil and sprinkle with chopped rosemary and sea salt.

  7. 7

    Cook the Flatbread

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook each flatbread for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden and crispy.

  8. 8

    Serve

Remove from heat and let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm.
