    Prepare the Bean Mixture

    In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until soft and translucent.

    Mix in Beans and Cream Cheese

    Add the cooked black beans to the skillet, mashing slightly. Mix in the cream cheese until fully combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

    Add Cheddar Cheese

    Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and the mixture is creamy.

    Transfer to Serving Dish

    Transfer the bean and cheese mixture into a serving dish or an anafre (a traditional clay pot).

    Top with Chicharron

    Sprinkle the ground chicharron evenly over the top of the mixture.

    Garnish and Serve

    Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot with tortilla chips on the side.
