Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fries

Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the frozen fries package. Toss the frozen fries with olive oil, salt, and black pepper in a large bowl. Spread them out in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake until golden brown and crispy, usually about 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak and Veggies

In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add sliced onions and bell peppers, cooking until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Push the veggies to the side and add the ribeye steak. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook the steak until browned and cooked to your liking, about 3-5 minutes.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Dish

Once the fries are done, remove them from the oven. Top the fries with the cooked steak and veggie mixture. Evenly sprinkle the shredded white American cheese over the top. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  4. 4

    Serve

Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and serve hot. Enjoy your delicious cheesesteak fries!
