    Prepare the Filling

    In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped garlic, onion, and bell pepper, sauté until softened.

    Cook the Meat

    Add the ground beef (or pork) to the skillet. Season with cumin, salt, black pepper, and adobo seasoning. Cook until the meat is browned and cooked through. Set aside.

    Make the Dough

    Peel and chop the green plantains and yuca. Boil them in salted water until soft. Drain and mash them together until smooth.

    Form Alcapurrias

    Take a portion of the dough and flatten it in your hand. Place a spoonful of the meat filling in the center and fold the dough over to enclose the filling. Shape into a log.

    Fry the Alcapurrias

    In a deep pot, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Fry the alcapurrias in batches until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.

    Serve hot with your choice of dipping sauce.
