Beer Battered Cheese Curds

Method

Malt Vinegar Aioli

  1. 1

    Prepare the Aioli

In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, malt vinegar, minced garlic, and salt. Mix well until smooth and creamy.

  2. 2

    Make the Beer Batter

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and black pepper. Gradually add the beer, mixing until just combined.

  3. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a deep skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  4. 4

    Batter the Cheese Curds

Dip each cheese curd into the beer batter, making sure they are well-coated.

  5. 5

    Fry the Curds

Carefully drop the battered cheese curds into the hot oil. Fry for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve hot with malt vinegar aioli for dipping.
