For the Apple Cobbler

Prepare the Apples
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with granulated sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Set aside to let the flavors meld.

Make the Batter
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and brown sugar. In a separate bowl, mix the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Combine the wet and dry ingredients until smooth.

Combine and Bake
Pour the batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Spoon the apple mixture over the batter. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the cobbler is golden brown and bubbly.
For the Bourbon Ice Cream

Mix Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, bourbon, and a pinch of salt until the sugar has dissolved.

Chill and Churn
Refrigerate the mixture for at least 2 hours. Once chilled, pour it into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Freeze
Transfer the churned ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours before serving.
