Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Gather all the ingredients and have them ready for assembly.

  2. 2

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside, leaving the drippings in the pan.

  3. 3

    Grill the Ham

In the same skillet, add the sliced ham and grill for about 2-3 minutes on each side until warmed and slightly crispy. Remove and set aside.

  4. 4

    Cook the Eggs

Crack the eggs into the skillet and cook them sunny-side up until the whites are set but the yolks are still runny. Season with salt and pepper.

  5. 5

    Toast the Bread

In another pan, melt 1 tablespoon of butter and toast the rye bread slices until golden brown on both sides.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Sandwich

On each slice of toasted rye, layer the grilled ham, bacon, and top with Swiss cheese. Place the cooked eggs on top.

  7. 7

    Melt the Cheese

Cover the assembled sandwiches with a lid for a minute to melt the cheese slightly.

  8. 8

    Serve

Serve hot, garnished with additional salt and pepper if desired.
