Schnitzel Sandwich Ingredients

Method

Preparation Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pork Cutlets

Pound the pork cutlets to an even thickness of about 1/2 inch. Season with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Set Up Breading Station

Set up a breading station with three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs.

  3. 3

    Bread the Cutlets

Coat each pork cutlet in flour, shaking off excess. Dip into the beaten eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.

  4. 4

    Fry the Cutlets

In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Fry the breaded cutlets for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Sandwiches

Slice the Kaiser rolls in half. On the bottom half, place a lettuce leaf, a slice of tomato, a few rings of onion, and a pork schnitzel. Top with the other half of the roll.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the schnitzel sandwiches immediately while hot.
