Reuben – Whole Or Half Recipe

Prepare the Sandwich
Lay out two slices of German rye bread. Spread 1 tablespoon of Thousand Island dressing on each slice.

Add the Fillings
Layer half of the corned beef, followed by one slice of Swiss cheese, and then half of the sauerkraut on top of the first slice of bread. Repeat the process with the second sandwich.

Top the Sandwich
Finish by placing the remaining slices of rye bread on top of each sandwich.

Grill the Sandwich
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter and place one sandwich in the skillet. Grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted. Repeat for the second sandwich.

Serve
Slice the sandwiches in half if desired, and serve warm with additional Thousand Island dressing on the side.
