Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the chicken breasts in a plastic bag and pound them to about 1/2 inch thickness using a meat mallet.

  2. 2

    Stuff the Chicken

Lay a slice of ham and a slice of Swiss cheese on each chicken breast. Fold the chicken over to encase the filling and secure with toothpicks if necessary.

  3. 3

    Breading the Chicken

Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: one with flour mixed with salt and pepper, one with beaten eggs, and one with bread crumbs. Dredge each stuffed chicken breast in flour, then dip in egg, and finally coat with bread crumbs.

  4. 4

    Cooking the Chicken

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry the breaded chicken for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Transfer to a baking dish.

  5. 5

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese has melted.

  6. 6

    Serve

Remove toothpicks if used and serve hot with fresh vegetables on the side.
