Preparation Steps
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Take the chicken breasts and place them between two pieces of plastic wrap. Gently pound them to an even thickness of about 1/2 inch.
- 2
Coat the Chicken
Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper. Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip into the egg, and then coat with breadcrumbs.
- 3
Cook the Chicken
In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the breaded chicken breasts and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through. Transfer them to a baking sheet.
- 4
Add Ham and Cheese
Top each cooked chicken breast with two slices of ham and two slices of Swiss cheese. Bake in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
- 5
Assemble the Sandwich
Slice the Kaiser rolls in half. Place the chicken breast topped with ham and cheese on the bottom half of each roll, then cover with the top half. Serve warm.
